FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Plain answers about care, fees and what to expect.
01What happens at the first visit?
You talk with your doctor about your work and what you want from care, then have an exam. The doctor explains what was found and what the options are. Treatment starts that day only if you agree. Plan on about an hour.
02What are the risks of chiropractic care?
Most people have no serious problem, but all care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is the common one. Rare serious problems have been reported, including injury to an artery in the neck, and your doctor explains the risks before your first adjustment. You can say no to any part of care.
03Will it hurt?
Many people feel pressure or a stretch. Some are sore for a day or so afterward. Tell your doctor if anything is uncomfortable and they will change what they do or stop.
04How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it with you as you go. We do not set a number in advance, because your exam, your goals and how you respond decide how often you come.
05Do you take my insurance?
We bill most PPO plans and some employer plans. What a plan pays for chiropractic differs, so our front desk checks yours before your first visit. The how fees work page has the details.
06What if I do not use insurance?
You can pay for visits yourself. If you do, we give you a written Good Faith Estimate in advance and an itemized receipt after a visit that you can send to your plan. Ask us.
07Do I need X-rays?
Not always. We take X-rays only when medically necessary, and your doctor explains why before ordering any.
08Can I bring my child, or come while pregnant?
Call us first. Your doctor decides whether care is right for a child or a pregnant patient and explains what it would involve. Some care, such as the decompression table, may not be an option. We make no claims about illnesses outside the muscles and joints.
09What if I am seeing another provider?
Tell us. With your permission we can share notes with your physician or another provider. If something needs a physician first, we will say so.
10What is your cancellation policy?
Please call us as early as you can if you cannot make a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy when you book.
Still have questions?
Send a message and the front desk will call you. They can answer questions about visits and fees, but not give medical advice by message.
